We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Course Development and Quality to be part of our team at Education Centre of Australia. 

The role will involve working across ECA’s private higher education institutions: the Asia Pacific International College (APIC), the Higher Education Leadership Institute (HELI) and the College of Health Sciences (CHS).

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the strategic planning, development and optimisation of the course portfolio aligned to organisational growth and market demand

  • Identify and evaluate new course opportunities in collaboration with academic and professional stakeholders

  • Oversee best practice course and unit design, ensuring alignment with AQF and academic quality standards

  • Lead the course development and approval lifecycle, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (HESF, TEQSA, CRICOS)

  • Coordinate cross-functional readiness for course launches, including marketing, admissions and systems

  • Lead and develop the course development team, managing budgets, timelines and capability building

As the successful candidate you will ideally have: 

  • A postgraduate qualification in education or a relevant discipline

  • Significant experience leading course development within Australian higher education

  • Strong working knowledge of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021 and related regulatory requirements

  • Experience engaging with governance processes, including reporting to Academic Boards or similar committees

  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across academic and operational teams

  • Experience with TEQSA audits, CRICOS and/or online and blended delivery (desirable)
