We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Soccer Coach to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to inspire and develop young athletes in a supportive educational environment. The Soccer Coach will play a crucial role in enhancing the skills and teamwork of players, fostering a love for the game while promoting physical fitness and sportsmanship. This is a part-time role, running 5 afternoons per week. You will help children develop their skills, confidence, teamwork, and love for the game in a supportive and child-safe environment. Weldon Children’s Services has been proudly operating OOSH and Early Years services for over 30 years, with a strong focus on quality education and care, social impact, and inspiring young minds. We provide safe, inclusive, and engaging environments where children can explore, play, and develop their skills, confidence, and curiosity. Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging soccer training sessions for players of varying skill levels.
  • Develop individual and team strategies to improve performance during matches.
  • Monitor and assess player progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance skills.
  • Encourage teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among players.
  • Organise and participate in local competitions and events.
  • Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school staff regarding training schedules and player development.
  • Maintain a safe and positive training environment.

About you:

  • A passion for soccer and a desire to coach young athletes.
  • Previous experience in coaching or playing soccer is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire players.
  • Strong knowledge of soccer rules and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Working with Children Check
  • First Aid and CPR certification is an advantage.
  • Foundations of Child Safety training (Geccko)
