Summary:

The Centre Director for Early Childhood Education in Concord West will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our educational centre, ensuring a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of care and education, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and engaging with families and the community. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall operation of the centre, aligning with our mission to provide exceptional early childhood education.

This service is a combined Early Learning and OOSH service.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the daily operations of the early childhood education centre.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement educational programmes that meet the needs of children and families.
  • Supervise and support staff, fostering professional development and teamwork.
  • Engage with parents and the community to promote the centre and its services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the centre’s performance, implementing improvements as necessary.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure sustainability.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children.

About you:

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in early childhood education.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within an early childhood education setting.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development and educational practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and the community.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • CHCPRT025 Child Protection certification
  • Basic Food Handling or Food Safety Supervisor
  • Geccko Foundations of Child Safety certification
