About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced DevOps Engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience managing both cloud-native (AWS) and on-premise environments. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in deploying, securing, and monitoring scalable infrastructure using Docker, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps tooling. You will be responsible for ensuring High Availability (HA), implementing Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies, and driving automation across cloud and hybrid infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure (VPC, EC2, EKS, IAM, S3, EFS, CDN, WAF, VPN) with a focus on security, scalability, and cost efficiency.
• Manage and integrate on-premise infrastructure with cloud environments in hybrid setups.
• Build and maintain highly available and resilient systems, including HA architecture and DR planning across regions/data centers.
• Containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes, leveraging Karpenter for autoscaling.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions for streamlined software delivery.
• Implement and manage monitoring/alerting solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and Thanos.
• Write and maintain automation scripts in Shell or Python to support infrastructure and operational tasks.
• Conduct cost optimization reviews and apply right-sizing and budgeting strategies across environments.
• Define and implement DevSecOps best practices, including access control, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks.
• Ensure system backup, restore, and failover capabilities are tested and maintained.
Required Skills:
• Experience with AWS core services: VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS, S3, EFS, EKS, ECS, CloudFront, WAF.
• Strong background in Docker and Kubernetes, including HA cluster setup and autoscaling (e.g., with Karpenter).
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience managing on-premise systems and hybrid connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect, etc.).
• Proven expertise in High Availability and Disaster Recovery implementations.
• Proficient in building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
• Strong in monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos.
• Scripting skills in Shell/Bash and Python.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) is a plus.
• Experience with security hardening and governance on both cloud and on-prem environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
• AWS Certification (e.g., Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, DevOps Engineer).
• Exposure to hybrid cloud environments and data center operations.
• Experience with cost monitoring tools like AWS Cost Explorer or third-party platforms.
