People & Capability Lead

Cronulla, New South Wales 2230, Australia • Full-time
Analyse my fit

Description

This role isn’t about just managing HR. We’re looking for capability architecture.

DPN is growing

Growth needs structure

We’re looking for a person to build it

We’re an established property investment, finance and property management group based in Cronulla, with a 70+ strong team and national ambition.

Now we’re strengthening the engine behind it. Our leaders, our structure, our systems and the way we support good people to do great work.

As our People & Capability Lead, you’ll own the foundations that shape how we grow leadership development, organisational design, remuneration frameworks, advisory and systems development.

The work behind the scenes that changes everything when done well.

You’ll work closely with our Head of People & Culture and partner daily with our Talent Lead and work in a business which has high-trust, zero politics and good energy across the entire team. In your role you’ll be working directly with Director and Senior Leadership level stakeholders and if you value influence without ego and strategy that actually gets executed, keep reading.

What You’ll Drive

·      This role has senior scope with real influence and impact where you’ll:

·      Build and embed a practical leadership framework that lifts capability as we scale

·      Shape organisational design so roles are clear, aligned and future ready.

·      Oversee remuneration, incentives and benefits so they’re consistent, competitive, and scalable.

·      Strengthen people reporting by turning data and insight into better business decisions.

·      Tighten systems and workflows so we rely on structure, not memory as we grow.

·      Elevate wellbeing, safety and sustainable performance across the group.

·      Own core People operations so strategic work has space to breathe.

You’ll Love This If You…

·      Care deeply about people and leadership standards.

·      Think long-term but act decisively.

·      Are comfortable working independently without layers of oversight.

·      Protect standards, but don’t sweat the small stuff.

·      Are steady when conversations get hard.

·      Have strong ER foundations (and rarely need to use them).

·      Care about the kind of team you’re part of, not just the role you’re doing

Why This Role Exists

We’re investing properly in how our people are supported and developed.

This is a 12-month parental leave contract, created with intention and with continued growth and commitment to our People function, there is a genuine view to permanency.

The role is as designed full time. For the right person, we’re open to discussing part-time hours with Monday – Friday availability.

Life at DPN

We have an experienced leadership team, low turnover and a culture people genuinely enjoy being part of. Good humans matter here, and we hire carefully because of it. We’re professional, ambitious and supportive of each other.

·      Paid birthday leave

·      Regular team celebrations

·      Employee Assistance Program

·      Flexibility, including some work-from-home

You won’t just inherit these benefits, you’ll help enhance and elevate them.
