The Douglas Chemist Group started in 1972 at what is now Goulburn Priceline Pharmacy. The group is a renowned, national, community pharmacy group of 30 pharmacies with a strong presence in the Southern Tablelands of NSW. We have a presence across 5 stores in the area, all of which are committed to providing exceptional healthcare services and personalised attention to our valued customers. We are seeking a Pharmacist to work across our Southern Tablelands stores, with the primary role based in Goulburn, but with opportunities to extend into our other local sites as needs arise. This is a great opportunity to not get tied down to one location and experience the variety that a multi-store role can offer.

Roles and Responsibilities

Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently while adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.

Counsel patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions, ensuring their understanding and promoting adherence.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care and medication management.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.

Provide professional advice and guidance on over-the-counter medications, dietary supplements, and other healthcare products.

Manage inventory levels, place orders, and ensure the availability of essential medications and supplies.

Supervise and train pharmacy assistants and technicians, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in the pharmaceutical industry, including new medications, therapies, and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent degree from a recognised Australian institution.
- Current registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers and healthcare professionals.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and computer systems.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient confidentiality and ethical conduct.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in medication compounding and sterile product preparation (desirable).
- Strong Communication and problem solving skills
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software FRED
