Responsibilities:
Guest Seating: Greet guests upon arrival, confirm reservations, and escort them to their assigned tables. Ensure each guest is comfortable and has menus and water promptly.
Menu Knowledge: Have an extensive knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings. Offer informed recommendations and answer any questions about the menu.
Order Taking: Accurately take and relay food and beverage orders to the kitchen and bar. Ensure special requests and dietary restrictions are communicated clearly.
Service Delivery: Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring proper presentation and adherence to service standards. Monitor guests’ needs and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience.
Table Maintenance: Maintain clean and organized tables, removing used dishes, silverware, and glassware. Reset tables for new guests quickly and efficiently.
Customer Interaction: Engage with guests, ensuring their satisfaction with each course and addressing any concerns or special requests. Create a welcoming and memorable dining experience.
Payment Processing: Present the bill to guests, process payments accurately, and handle cash or card transactions. Ensure the correct amount is charged and provide change or receipts as needed.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other waiters to ensure a seamless and coordinated service. Communicate effectively to address any issues or special requests from guests.
Upselling: Promote specials, seasonal dishes, and beverages to enhance guests’ dining experiences and increase sales.
Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of food and beverages, sanitation practices, and workplace safety protocols.
Requirements:
Experience: Previous experience as a waiter, preferably in a fine dining or high-end restaurant setting.
Skills: Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and a positive attitude.
