Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Promote independence and empower clients to make choices in their daily lives.
  • Support clients in accessing community resources and social activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in behaviour or health.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and organisational policies.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification in disability support.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and patient attitude towards individuals with disabilities.
  • Basic first aid and CPR certification is an advantage.
  • Understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is beneficial.
