Summary:

Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial processing and maintaining high‑quality financial records that support day-to-day operations. You’ll work across accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll support, and system management within Xero, Budgetly, and Approval Max.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys structured work, cares about accuracy, and wants to contribute to an organisation that makes a meaningful difference in community.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records across Xero, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries and banking.
  • Process supplier invoices, prepare payments, and reconcile accounts.
  • Generate customer invoices and follow up outstanding payments.
  • Support payroll processing and maintain up‑to‑date employee payroll records.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements and investigate discrepancies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and support strong financial governance.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold organisational values.

Qualifications:

  • A certificate or diploma in business, finance, or a related field (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience with financial administration and/or bookkeeping.
  • Competence using financial software (Xero experience highly valued).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work respectfully with Aboriginal communities and demonstrate cultural competence.
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Current Police Check, WWCC, and Victorian Driver’s Licence (or willingness to obtain).
