About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Dental Assistant to join our Brisbane clinic. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and takes pride in precision, preparation, and patient reassurance.
You will play a critical role supporting complex surgical procedures while maintaining impeccable clinical standards. This is not a standard chairside role – it’s a specialised position within a premium surgical setting.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Chairside assistance for surgical procedures including implants, oral surgery, and complex treatments
- Preparing and maintaining sterile surgical environments and instruments
- Assisting with sedation workflows where applicable
- Delivering a calm, reassuring, and professional patient experience
- Maintaining the highest standards of sterilisation, infection control, and clinical compliance
- Supporting accurate clinical documentation and post-operative processes
- Collaborating closely with clinicians, nurses, and front-of-house teams
About You
You’ll be a strong fit if you:
- Have previous surgical dental assisting experience (highly regarded)
- Hold Certificate III in Dental Assisting (Certificate IV strongly regarded)
- Are confident assisting in surgical and implant procedures
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and clinical discipline
- Communicate calmly and professionally with patients and clinicians
- Are reliable, proactive, and thrive in high-performance environments
- Are comfortable using digital dental systems and technology
