Summary:

The Facilities Manager will oversee the maintenance and operations of our manufacturing facility in Murarrie, Queensland. This role is crucial for ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive environment for our employees. The Facilities Manager will implement best practices in facility management, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while optimising operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring all systems are functioning effectively.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for equipment and infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for facility maintenance and repairs.
  • Monitor and manage facility budgets, including maintenance and operational costs.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead and train facility staff, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency.
  • Prepare reports on facility performance and maintenance activities for senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in facilities management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Proficient in using facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
