Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow. The Early Childhood Educator will work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and programs for young children
  • Create a safe and welcoming environment that promotes learning and exploration
  • Observe and assess children’s development and progress, and communicate with parents and caregivers
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, to support children’s individual needs
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of children’s progress and development
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Relevant state or territory certification or licensure as an Early Childhood Educator
  • Minimum 1-2 years of demonstrated experience working with young children in a regulated early childhood education and care setting.
  • Thorough knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and other professionals
  • Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or equivalent child safety clearance.
