We are seeking experienced and reliable forklift operator to load and unload our linehaul vehicles on the PM shift.
- PM Shift – 1:00pm – Close (usually between 8:30pm – 10:00pm)
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
- LF Forklift License
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to OHS regulations.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Linehaul Loading Operations
- Successfully demonstrate understanding of Mass Management
- Successfully demonstrate understanding of Load Restraint Guidelines
- Enthusiastic and energetic team player
- Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship required for this position
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other machinery safely and in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance to all OH&S policies and procedures.
- Ensure all inbound and/or outbound freight is: Accurately scan, match, sort, and placed safely into correct locations. Load outbound linehaul units (consolidation of freight) Unloaded and/or loaded safely with zero damage within set time limits. Compliant with legislative requirements with regard to load mass. Compliant with Chain of Responsibility including appropriate load restraint.
- Match freight and connotes to ensure no miss-sorted or miss-loaded freight.
- Report all incidents of damage, shortages, split consignments, etc. to the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Ensure the yard is kept organised and tidy.
- Work toward a target of zero near-miss incidents or accidents.
- Contribute to shared goals and work effectively as part of a team.
- Other duties as required.
