Accounts Officer – Remote

Summary:

The Accounts Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of logistics and supply chain processes within our organisation. Based in Manila, this position is essential for maintaining high levels of cash flow by the efficient co-ordination of administration within the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accuracy and efficient within the account payables and receivables functions by managing supplier invoicing accuracy ato the company’s success in the competitive logistics industry.

Responsibilities:

nd payments and supplier inquiries, supporting the overall accounts department and contributing Manage Payment Queries

• Receive, review, Code and verify invoices for accuracy and appropriate approvals.
• Check for revenue leakage in consultation with supplier invoices
• Ensure invoices follow correct workflow into Approval Max and Xero
• Maintain regular creditor reporting and investigate outstanding invoices
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receipt
• Manage Payment Queries
• Schedule and process payments via EFT and credit cards using ApprovalMax Batch Payments
• Ensure timely payment of bills and avoid late fees
• Maintain accurate and compliant records accross the function
• Accurate and thorough reconciliation accross the function
• Reporting accross the function
• Follow all internal controls and policies

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• Proven, extensive experience within accounts payable / receivable functions, preferably in the logistics or supply chain industry.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent English fluency is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management software.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
