We have an exciting opportunity for a Participation Strategy Lead – Melbourne Stars to join our Premier & Community Cricket team. This role will support and develop entry-level and junior programs, driving initiatives that increase participation, improve accessibility, and encourage long-term engagement while delivering high-quality customer service in an inclusive environment.

💪 The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Cricket Victoria, Cricket Australia (CA) and State/Territory staff to develop long-term Entry Level Program (Cricket Blast) design and implementation strategy.
  • Strategically prioritise and target opportunities for integration of the Entry Level Programs and other participation programs into junior cricket pathways.
  • Work with Cricket Victoria Field Force to administer available funding pools relating to delivery of Entry Level Programs (Wooloworths Community Fund & Growing Cricket for Girls Fund).
  • Ensure communication and education of Entry Level Program benefits, requirements and delivery via Cricket Victoria staff and communities.
  • Implement transition plans between school-based Entry Level Programs and other participation programs and Junior Clubs.
  • Collaborate with BBL Clubs to implement BBL aligned promotional strategies and be a vital link between BBL franchises and Entry Level Program opportunities.

🎯 About You

Essential:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in a Sports, Sales, Project Management or Educational focused role
  • Experience in developing high level, multi-departmental strategies
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attributes
  • Working With Children Check (Employee)

Desirable:

  • Experience in delivering sport, health or education programs on a large scale.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding of sports industry Working with/understanding of the cricket community.
