We are seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our in-office team in Townsville.
This is an In-office, full time position
About the Role
This is an opportunity to manage your own client portfolio while continuing to develop your technical expertise and advisory capability.
You will:
- Prepare financial statements and tax returns for SMEs, trusts and partnerships
- Review junior team members’ work and provide coaching support
- Liaise directly with clients on accounting and tax queries
- Assist with tax planning and advisory projects
- Contribute commercially minded ideas to improve client outcomes
- Manage workflow with accountability for quality and timeliness
This role suits someone who enjoys both technical excellence and meaningful client relationships.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-4+ years of experience in public practice accounting.
- Solid knowledge of accounting standards and Australian tax legislation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage workflows independently.
- Strong communication and client relationship skills, both written and verbal.
- CA/CPA qualifications (completed or currently undertaking) will be highly regarded.
