Conplant Pty Ltd is the largest privately owned specialist compaction and construction equipment company in Australia. Our core business includes the hire and sale of compaction & construction equipment with associated servicing and the supply of parts and transport services.

Conplant’s success and stability in market has led to the need for a Parts Interpreter to join our Yatala yard.

Reporting into the Parts Manager, you will play a vital role in the success of the business, actively providing a range of advice and guidance for customers (internal and external) to assist in the effective identification and timely provision of spare parts services to meet customer needs.

You will also:

  • Co-ordinate follow up quotations and all associated administration to ensure that parts are accurately priced, ordered, despatched and invoiced to contribute the provision of a profitable, responsive and professional spare parts service.
  • Organise and consolidate the maintenance of all Parts and associated technical data, contributing to delivering simplified data to manage stock effectively and deliver improved levels of customer service.
  • Participate in parts stock takes as required to ensure that actual stock levels are verified against system records to contribute to the preparation of accurate, timely annual company accounts.
  • Assist in the Parts Store with identifying, picking, packing, storing, freighting and dispatching parts to ensure that a consistent, responsive service is delivered to support branches nationally.

You will bring:

  • At least 2 years parts interpreting experience (heavy equipment preferred) with the mechanical knowledge necessary to assist internal and external customers with limited knowledge and/or experience of parts to identify and obtain their requirements.
  • Microsoft Office Applications experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively whilst managing multiple priorities.
  • Efficiency orientation, looking for best use of resources.
