About the role 

We’re looking for an Events & Sponsorship Specialist to help deliver Connective’s national Learning & Development (L&D) program for our member network. In this role you’ll plan and execute engaging digital and face-to-face events, while also developing, selling and managing sponsorship partnerships (particularly with lenders) to ensure continued investment in the program. 

You’ll work closely with internal teams across marketing, sales, IT and compliance to ensure a consistent brand experience, strong stakeholder alignment and high-quality delivery. 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Develop and launch a sponsorship program and sponsorship guide 

  • Identify opportunities, pitch, negotiate and close sponsorship agreements 

  • Maintain sponsorship reporting (internal and partner-facing) 

  • Manage invoicing and payment tracking, and provide results reporting throughout the year 

  • Plan, market and deliver digital and in-person L&D events with the Events Manager 

  • Deliver event communications to members and partners 

  • Support event marketing activity including EDMs, registration pages and web content 

  • Build strong working relationships across Marketing, Product and Content/Comms 

The Person  

Your exceptional attention to detail, stakeholder engagement skills and collaborative approach will help you to succeed in this role.  You will also possess:  

  • Degree or certificate in Events or a related field 

  • 5+ years’ experience in events and or partnerships (or adjacent experience with strong relevance) 

  • Proven experience selling and negotiating sponsorship packages 

  • Experience communicating program content internally and externally 

  • Strong project management skills with multiple stakeholders and deadlines 

  • Strong commercial, analytical and problem-solving capability 

  • High attention to detail and excellent organisation 

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills 

  • Willing to travel interstate and work additional hours during peak event delivery periods
