What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Senior Compliance Manager, you will work with the business and Connective’s broker members to support, monitor and advise across all risk and compliance matters. Responsibilities will include:
- Promote and uphold a strong compliance culture through the coaching and educating of brokers.
- Identify and monitor regulatory changes, standards and internal policies, ensuring all requirements are clear and understood by all stakeholders.
- Undertake risk and compliance activity i.e. approval of marketing materials, file reviews, investigations, risk assessments and managing licence requirements.
- Ensure that regulatory requirements applicable to our credit representatives and licensees are clear and unambiguous and that impacts for non-compliance are controlled, reported and managed.
- Present to external stakeholders on key compliance requirements and best practice.
The Person
Your energy and versatility will see you excel as the key interface between Connective and our members. You will also possess:
- At least two years experience in NCCP responsible lending and compliance management within the finance or banking industry.
- At least two years’ experience in governance, risk and/or compliance roles.
- A strong understanding of other relevant legislation, such as the Privacy Act, and or a background in complaints or fraud investigations is desirable but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian regulatory landscape.
- A passion for small business and the ability to build strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- A valid Australian driver’s licence.
