You will have
Qualifications / Experience:
- Tertiary qualification in workplace health and safety, or similar disciplines, along with a minimum 5 years’ operational experience in a similar role
Familiarity with ISO standards and experience in managing ISO accreditation processes
- Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate and resolve issues at all levels
- Sound time management skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated, proactive, with a positive attitude and high integrity
- Strong computing skills, software programs and integrated management systems
- Strong knowledge and ability to review and draft documentation, policies and procedures and interpret Legislations, Acts and Codes
- Intrastate and interstate travel is a requirement of this role
- Full drivers licence (highly desirable)
- Permanent Australian residency or full Australian Legal Work Rights
Selection Criteria
- Outline your proficiency in health and safety management systems, SWMS, risk assessment, and compliance in alignment with relevant regulations including Auditors and the maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS) to meet AS/NZS AS/NZS 45001, AS/NZS 14001, and AS/NZS 9001.
- Demonstrated experience in environment, health and safety initiatives, throughout the telecommunication and/or building and construction industries.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to safety and health and a positive attitude towards zero harm safety initiatives and corrective actions.
- Coordination of incident investigations, reportable incidents and risk management processes,
demonstrating a decrease in lost time injuries and meeting those targets
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, with management, stakeholders, clients and the public.
- Provide examples of EHS initiatives you have introduced, how they impacted workplace health and safety, the benefits they delivered and what targets were achieved
