🔷 Purpose of the Role 

As General Manager – Platform Services, you will lead the strategy, performance and evolution of CBN’s platform ecosystem, including technology, data, systems and fee-for-service offerings.

This is a senior leadership role with enterprise-wide impact. You will ensure our platforms are not just functional, but commercially effective, scalable and deeply embedded across the network.

You’ll work closely with the GM Partners, Executive Team and functional leaders to connect platform capability with partner growth, operational efficiency and long-term value creation. 

✨ What You’ll Do 

Platform Strategy & Commercial Performance

  • Define and lead the platform services strategy and roadmap aligned to CBN’s growth and investment priorities
  • Own P&L performance of platform and fee-for-service offerings, driving revenue, margin and cost-to-serve improvements
  • Identify and commercialise new platform and service opportunities across the network

Technology, Data & Systems

  • Lead the selection, optimisation and integration of core platforms, systems and data capabilities
  • Ensure platforms are scalable, secure and aligned to broker and partner needs
  • Translate business insight into practical platform enhancements and innovation

Adoption, Integration & Experience

  • Drive adoption, utilisation and retention of platform services across partners
  • Oversee onboarding and integration of new partners and investments into the platform ecosystem
  • Ensure a seamless, high-quality user experience for brokers and partner teams

Operational Efficiency & Transformation

  • Identify and deliver initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability and performance across the network
  • Lead transformation programs that connect people, process and technology
  • Establish governance, reporting and performance frameworks to track impact

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Platform Services team
  • Build strong alignment across Commercial, Distribution, Marketing, Finance and IT
  • Partner closely with GM Partners to ensure platform services are embedded in partner business plans
  • Contribute to CBN’s Leadership Team and broader culture

 

Preferred location: Melbourne  

  • We are open to exceptional candidates based in other locations across Australia, with flexibility to travel as required. 

 

💡 What You’ll Bring 

  • Proven experience leading platforms, products, technology or service-based business models
  • Strong commercial acumen with P&L accountability and a track record of driving revenue and efficiency
  • Experience working within or alongside a broking business or financial services environment
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams, building capability and fostering a high-performance, accountable and collaborative culture
  • Ability to connect strategy with execution across technology, operations and customer outcomes
  • Experience delivering transformation or large-scale platform initiatives
  • Strong understanding of data, systems and operational design
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influence skills across executive and partner groups
  • Exposure to complex environments such as partnerships, networks, or multi-entity structures
  • You’re practical, commercially sharp and outcomes-focused.
