🔷 Purpose of the Role 

As a Business Analyst, you will turn strategy into clear, actionable outcomes by connecting business needs with practical solutions across systems, processes and operations.

You’ll drive clarity, align stakeholders and ensure initiatives deliver measurable value for brokers, customers and the business. Working across multiple projects and transformation initiatives, you’ll play a critical role in enabling better decisions, faster delivery and meaningful change across CBN.

✨ What You’ll Do 

Analysis & Requirements

  • Gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Map current and future state processes to identify improvements and opportunities
  • Ensure requirements are clear, prioritised and aligned to business outcomes

 

Stakeholder Engagement & Workshops

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand challenges, align priorities and define solutions
  • Facilitate workshops to drive clarity, challenge assumptions and build alignment
  • Communicate insights, risks and recommendations in a clear, practical way

 

Delivery & Implementation

  • Work with delivery teams to manage scope, dependencies and change impacts
  • Support backlog shaping and prioritisation across Agile or hybrid delivery environments
  • Define test scenarios and coordinate UAT to ensure solutions meet business needs

 

Business Impact & Governance

  • Assess impacts across systems, data and operating models, including risks and dependencies
  • Ensure solutions align with regulatory requirements, internal standards and risk frameworks
  • Support successful transition to BAU and adoption of delivered solutions

 

Preferred location: Melbourne  

  • We are open to exceptional candidates based in other locations across Australia, with flexibility to travel as required. 

 

💡 What You’ll Bring 

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst delivering business and technology initiatives
  • Strong experience in requirements gathering, process mapping and stakeholder engagement
  • Proven ability to work across multiple projects and drive outcomes in complex environments
  • Experience working with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery approaches
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate strategy into practical solutions
  • Experience working within insurance, financial services or a regulated environment (preferred)
  • Relevant Business Analysis certification or training required
  • You’re structured, curious and commercially aware. You don’t just capture requirements, you help shape better outcomes.
