Description

CoAct is seeking a skilled and people-focused Human Resources Business Partner to join our People & Culture team. Within this role you will be delivering high-quality HR support and building a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.

As a trusted advisor to leaders, you will be providing timely, compliant and values-driven HR guidance across the full employee lifecycle, with a strong focus on employee relations and industrial award interpretation.

Exploring the Role

In this role, you will collaborate with our managers to strengthen leadership capability, navigate risk, and help create an accountable, engaged and healthy workplace culture.

Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Leading and managing employee relations matters end-to-end, including performance concerns, grievances, investigations and disciplinary processes.
  • Interpreting and applying modern awards, employee contracts and legislation to ensure high compliance standards.
  • Coaching and supporting our leaders with clear, confident guidance on complex and sensitive workplace matters.
  • Preparing thorough documentation, investigation reports and case records.
  • Contributing to the review and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures and systems.
  • Supporting initiatives that enhance workplace culture, employee engagement, wellbeing, inclusion and safety.
  • Play an active role in supporting all aspects of the People & Culture Team.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in an HR advisory or a generalist role with strong employee relations expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience in interpreting and applying modern awards, and employee legislation.
  • Ability to manage complex employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence delivering advice to stakeholders and preparing clear, compliance documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail with experience managing HR administration, contracts, variations, and employee data.
  • The ability to balance and manage competing priorities.
  • Bring a collaborative, solutions-focused approach and the ability to build strong relationships and stakeholders at all levels.
  • A genuine commitment to promoting a respectful and inclusive workplace culture, that reflects and reinforces our organisational values.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety is highly regarded.

Location: This is a work-from-home (WFH) position, with fortnightly travel to our Stones Corner office to connect with the People & Culture team, and additional visits as required. The successful candidate must maintain an appropriate and safe workstation at home.
