The Role
Based at our Glendenning location we are seeking individuals aspiring to be, or already are HR Licensed drivers, to join our team and serve our local community as part of our Container Deposit Scheme team. The roles are casual but could lead to long term full-time employment.
As a HR Driver you will be responsible for:
Rear lift collection vehicle
Performing loading and unloading duties of bottles and cans through the Container Deposit Scheme.
Delivering loads to nominated recycling and disposals facilities
Ensuring high levels of customer service and satisfaction
Maintaining presentation of the vehicle, inside and out
Comfortable with a level of manual handling
Must be willing to take a Pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol test.

As part of closing the gender gap of drivers in the waste management industry, Cleanaway is running a Driver Academy for Women to address substantive equality for female identifying or non-binary persons in the industry by removing some of the barriers preventing them from getting involved. Cleanaway is seeking individuals to participate in an intensive training program which includes licencing and other training required to set you up to be a HR licenced truck driver.
Paid 5-week training program will include:
Obtain Heavy Rigid Licence (HR)
Uniforms and PPE
Training program to become a driver
To be part of the program
Hold a current unrestricted driver’s licence for a minimum of 24 months
Driving History Check with a minimum of 8 demerit points remaining
