Carpentry Tradesman

Classic Touch Carpentry is looking for skilled Carpentry Tradesmen to join our busy team.

Classic Touch Carpentry is a carpentry and building business located in Queanbeyan, NSW (bordering Canberra, ACT) who offer residential and commercial carpentry and residential building services across Canberra, ACT and Queanbeyan, NSW.

As a Carpentry Tradesman, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of carpentry duties with a focus on quality, safety and efficiency contributing to successful project outcomes and upholding the company’s reputation for excellence. You will liaise with a range of stakeholders (internal and external) and will play a key role in the training and development of apprentices.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret building plans, specifications and schedules
• Complete all facets of carpentry
• Provide on-site mentoring and support to apprentices and junior staff
• Ensure all work is completed to a high safety and workmanship standards
• Identify and communicate material and equipment requirements
• Promote a clean, safe and organised work environment

Skills and Qualifications

• Certificate III in Carpentry
• Current White Card, Asbestos Awareness and Silica Safety certifications
• Sound knowledge of residential building practices
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to troubleshoot on-site issues and implement practical solutions
• Capable of working independently and as part of a wider team

• Represent the company professionally on all sites and with clients

• Produce work to a high standard with minimal rework.
• Be willing to take on varied tasks and adjust to different work environments or project changes.
