We are seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer & Engineering Geologist – All Levels to join our team.  We are seeking candidates who expertise in planning and conducting geotechnical investigations, managing projects, developing factual and interpretive reporting, and acting as a design manager for major infrastructure projects.

As our business continues to grow throughout Queensland and across Australia — driven by our recent success in securing several significant and exciting projects — we are looking to expand our Sunshine Coast–based team.

Working for CGC as a Geotechnical Engineer you will:

  • Provide geotechnical advice and consult on geotechnical issues to clients and internal staff.
  • Manage projects, prepare proposals, provide geotechnical analysis, input and reporting for projects
  • Scope, manage and participate in field investigations
  • Interpret field data to develop geotechnical and geological models
  • Keep abreast of advancing technologies, methods, research and development
  • Be driven by values of integrity, resilience, respect, collaboration, accountability and innovation
  • Be actively involved in CGC’s social impact work

What you bring to CGC:

  • All experience levels are welcome to apply. The candidate must have a background in geotechnical consulting within Australia
  • Slope Risk Assessment accreditation (TfNSW Slope Risk Analysis V.4, 2014) will be looked at favourably
  • For geotechnical engineers / engineering geologist with 10+ years experience, you would be expected to manage and develop detailed designs for major infrastructure, particularly for slope remediations projects
  • Excellent communication skills – both oral and written. You will have proficient report writing skills and the ability to organise information in a coherent and logical way.
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, employing a risk-based approach.
  • A strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn, and a desire to work in a dynamic deadline driven environment.
  • The right to work in Australia.
