Camp Chef (Remote)

About the role:

We are seeking a reliable Remote Site Cook / General Hand to join a small team servicing regional campsites. This role is hands‑on and varied, involving meal preparation, cleaning, general camp support, and providing day‑to‑day guidance to other general hands.

What you’ll do:

• Prepare and cook meals in line with approved menus and dietary requirement
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
• Assist with cleaning, food service, and general camp duties as required
• Provide leadership and support to general hands
• Perform relief duties and assist across camp services
• Drive staff and transport products between sites as required
• Oversee staff and guest accommodation standards
• Comply with all HSE policies, procedures, and reporting requirements

Qualifications:

• Cert III in commercial cookery (desirable) or relevant qualification
• Previous experience in FIFO or DIDO (is required)

Selection Criteria:

• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
• Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating delicious meals.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong written English skills
• National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
• Unrestricted Australian Working Rights
