Are you a visionary Principal Electrical Engineer ready to lead a technical team at the forefront of the energy transition? We are seeking a high-level professional to join our expanding Darwin team. This is a pivotal leadership role designed for an engineer who excels in sophisticated infrastructure, power system stability, and the coordination of large-scale engineering projects.

As a key technical resource for our national team of 90+ professionals, you will manage landmark projects—from large-scale BESS installations to complex mining reticulation—shaping the future of the Northern Territory’s energy landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage engineering staff and day-to-day electrical management activities.
  • Provide expert oversight for power system design and analysis, ensuring high-level technical delivery.
  • Guide and mentor junior and senior engineers through complex designs and technical challenges.
  • Manage overall project execution, including budgetary performance and financial reporting.
  • Develop engineering strategies to secure new markets and contribute to regional business plans.
  • Review technical deliverables and calculations to ensure 100% compliance with ISO 9001 standards.

What You Will Bring

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 10 years of post-qualification experience.
  • A proven track record of managing technical teams and leading large-scale automation or power projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of power system analysis, PLC, and SCADA systems.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in business development and tender documentation.
