Full Time  

$70k to $75k pa + access to Salary Packaging benefits

Your Opportunity Awaits 

As a Risk & Compliance Officer, you’ll bring your experience in governance and quality practices to support Castle’s operational functions. You’ll help maintain the systems that underpin our frameworks, assist staff with system use, and ensure our organisation continues to deliver safe, compliant and effective services. 

 

You’ll use your background to: 

  • Be a trusted go‑to person for staff, helping them navigate more complex enquiries with confidence and care. 

  • Support frontline teams by coordinating service needs and offering practical guidance when challenges arise. 

  • Play an active role in rolling out new policies, procedures and improvement projects that shape how Castle operates. 

  • Create clear, professional reports and communications, and help keep our documentation and systems organised and up to date. 

  • Empower colleagues by supporting their use of workplace technology and contributing ideas that make our systems work better. 

  • Build positive working relationships across the organisation while communicating clearly, resolving issues and escalating when needed. 

  • Help staff achieve great outcomes by offering alternatives, gathering information and ensuring every interaction is inclusive and respectful. 

  • Lead by example in professionalism, accountability and safe work practices, contributing to a culture that aligns with Castle’s values. 

  • Spot opportunities to improve processes, support risk assessments and champion smarter, safer ways of working. 

  • Prioritise safety by following WHS procedures, reporting hazards promptly and participating in training and wellbeing initiatives. 

 

 

What You’ll Need to Succeed 

We’re looking for someone detail-oriented, proactive and motivated by doing things the right way someone who understands that good compliance makes great service possible. 

If you do not meet every requirement, we still encourage your application. We value passion, potential, and lived experience. 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in risk and compliance setting or in a closely aligned role. 

  • Certificate IV in a relevant field  

  • Demonstrate ability to analyse and interpret data across multiple systems within the disability industry or similar. 

  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislative requirements and organisational standards. 

  • Experience coaching and training others. 

  • Demonstrated capability in system administration and maintenance. 

  • Strong organisational and project support skills. 

  • Excellent communication skills and a flexible, solutions-focused approach. 

 

Essential Requirements 

  • Current driver licence or reliable transport 

  • Willingness to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check 

  • Alignment with Castle’s Vision, Purpose and Values
