Position Summary The Studio Manager is responsible for overseeing daily studio operations, coordinating production schedules with the Production Officer, supervising workers, and ensuring smooth studio workflow. This role also performs direct support work when required, ensuring workers receive appropriate guidance, supervision, and assistance to complete production tasks safely and efficiently. The Studio Manager ensures productivity targets are met while maintaining quality standards, workplace safety, and a positive, structured work environment. – Payrate: $34.07/hr – Maximum 38hrs Reports To – Operations Manager / Director – Position: full-time (38hrs) – Production Officer – Support Workers – Studio Workers / Participants Key Responsibilities 1. Production Coordination – Work collaboratively with the Production Officer to plan daily and weekly production schedules. – Allocate tasks to workers based on skills, capacity, and production needs. – Monitor workflow and adjust schedules as required. – Ensure production deadlines are met. – Maintain quality control standards. 2. Team Supervision & Leadership – Supervise studio workers and support staff. – Provide daily instructions, task demonstrations, and performance feedback. – Maintain attendance records and task allocation logs. – Monitor productivity and report outcomes to management. – Address minor performance issues and escalate where necessary. 3. Studio Scheduling & Resource Management – Prepare and manage studio rosters. – Coordinate staff shifts to match production demand and participant attendance. – Monitor studio capacity and seating allocation. – Ensure efficient use of materials and equipment. – Communicate schedule changes clearly to the team. 4. Support Worker Duties – Provide direct support to participants or workers as required. – Assist individuals with task completion and skill development. – Ensure workplace health and safety compliance. – Promote independence while maintaining structured supervision. – Document relevant participant progress where required. 5. Compliance & Safety – Ensure safe handling of tools, equipment, and materials. – Maintain a clean and organised studio environment. – Monitor inventory usage and report shortages. – Follow workplace policies and relevant employment regulations. – Report incidents or risks promptly. 6.Communication & Reporting – Provide regular updates to management regarding: – Production progress – Worker performance – Attendance fluctuations – Inventory issues – Participate in management meetings as required.
