About the Role
Careva is seeking a dedicated and reliable Rostering Coordinator to support our dynamic team across NSW and QLD.
As the Rostering Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring exemplary support services for our participants while adhering to the Aged Care/ NDIS practice standards and guidelines. This position involves guiding, supporting, and motivating a team of support workers, team leaders, and complex care workers to perform at their best.
You will also manage the coordination of rosters to ensure essential services are covered, stepping in to provide hands-on support when needed. Additionally, the role includes providing emergency support out of office hours and on weekends as part of a shared roster.

Key Responsibilities
- Direct reports to them would be – Gardeners, cleaners and support workers
- Coordinate and supervise individual disability supports, including training and scheduling.
- Assist the P&C team with recruitment, induction, and training of support staff.
- Plan, manage, and evaluate various aspects of aged care and disability supports including gardening, cleaning, social supports and transport.
- Ensure best practice standards are met by all staff.
- Provide guidance and supervision to support staff and team leaders.
- Solve operational challenges independently or with the support of P&C, Rostering Lead and Service Managers.
- Maintain skills to provide direct support and fill shifts when required.
- Provide emergency support out of office hours and weekends on a rotating schedule with an on-call allowance.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a rostering or similar role is desirable.
- Genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer operations, including rostering platforms and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment both independently and within a team.
- Dynamic with the ability to assess priorities and multitask whilst staying calm under pressure.
- Knowledge of privacy and confidentiality principles.
The following will also be required of successful applicants:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Working rights in Australia.
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain).
- COVID-19 vaccination certificate (or valid medical exemption).
