The Role

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Casual Gardener to join our team. This role involves maintaining commercial properties and ensuring outdoor areas are presented to a high standard.This position would suit someone who is physically fit, takes pride in their work, and can work both independently and as part of a team.

What you’ll be doing

  • Gardening:

    • Ensure the overall health and appearance of all plants, flower beds, and green spaces to keep well maintained gardens with healthy plants.
    • Checking the condition of plants to determine the appropriate treatment.
    • Perform routine landscaping as required.
    • Monitor for the appearances of termites and terminate.
    • Gardening duties include sowing, planting, spraying, and cultivating trees and plants (pruning), mowing, pruning, whipper snipping, and trimming greenery, blowing debris, edging, weeding, and managing irrigation and application of plant protection products.
    • Together with manager, designing gardens and choosing plants.
    • Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment safely.
    • Any other duty that may arise from time to time requested by manager.

    What we are looking for

    • Full NT Drivers Licence.
    • Experience managing commercial gardens.
    • Enjoy working outdoors (all year round).
    • Knowledge of plant care and gardening techniques
    • Ability to operate mowing and pruning equipment
    • Must possess gardener and landscaping skills.
    • Knowledge of applying pesticide and weedicide.
    • Knowledge of synthetic and natural fertilizers.
    • Demonstrated capacity to work and collaborate with others in a team environment.
    • Ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time
