Disability Support Worker

The Role

We are looking for experienced Support Workers to help participants achieve their goals, build life skills and engage with their community. Your responsibilities include:

• Providing personalised support at home and in the community
• Assisting with daily tasks, appointments and social activities
• Offering guidance, encouragement and companionship
• Supporting participants to gain independence and confidence

Who We’re Looking For

• We’re seeking experienced, enthusiastic, and reliable people who genuinely enjoy supporting others. Ideal candidates have:
• Experience in disability, mental health or community support
• Certificates or experience in mental health, psychology, nursing, community services or disability support highly regarded
• Empathy, patience, adaptability and strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, always keeping the participant at the centre

Requirements

• Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
• Yellow Card (Disability Worker Screening Clearance) (or willingness to obtain)
• Queensland Driver’s Licence and insured, reliable vehicle
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
