At Cancer Care Wollongong (CCW), we are interested in hearing from passionate and dedicated professionals to join our casual pool as an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse.

Working under our Nursing Unit Manager, you would be providing support to patients throughout their cancer treatment journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based, comprehensive oncology nursing care.
  • Practice in accordance with NSW Health Legislation and ACQSHC National Standards.
  • Provide holistic nursing care, high-level patient assessments, and referrals for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to quality improvements and collaborate with the Quality and Clinical Governance team to ensure best practices.
  • Conduct nursing observations and administer medications in line with policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Oncologists and the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Current and unrestricted registration and experience as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • 12 months of oncology experience is preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy for patients and their caregivers.
  • Strong clinical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Dedication to quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
