Stores Person

Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and organised Stores Person to assist in management of the inventory and stock of our Yacht Club Venue. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing goods, maintaining accurate records of inventory, and ensuring the efficient operation of the stores department.

The role is permanent part time – 24 hours a week

What you’ll do

• Assist in overseeing daily stock movement, including receiving, recording, and rotating stock
• Maintain accuracy in stock counts and reporting, including daily sales, end-of-month reports, and variance analysis
• Place weekly stock orders
• Monitor quality and compliance of incoming stock
• Uphold hygiene, housekeeping, and WHS standards across the stores section
• Support staff training, development, and performance management processes.

What we’re looking for

• Experience in a similar role, ideally in hospitality or a comparable industry
• Strong organisational and leadership skills, with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Honest, reliable, and ethical work approach
• Ability to work effectively with Venue Managers, Chefs, and operational teams

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory role preferred
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Basic computer skills, including experience with inventory management software
