Overview:
Calexi is seeking Communications Engineers to support Defence tactical, strategic, and secure communications environments. You will design, integrate, and sustain resilient communications architectures across complex, distributed, and contested environments.
This role operates across radio, satellite, network, and secure communications domains.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Technical Delivery:
- Design and integrate communications systems (RF, IP, SATCOM, tactical networks)
- Conduct link budget analysis and performance modelling
- Support network architecture design and optimisation
- Perform communications system testing and validation
- Troubleshoot complex network and RF performance issues
- Support secure communications configuration and integration
Defence Environment:
- Work within classified communications environments
- Support secure communications compliance frameworks
- Participate in system acceptance testing and field trials
- Contribute to capability enhancement and upgrade activities
Compliance & Governance:
- Align with Defence communications security requirements
- Maintain secure configuration documentation
- Support accreditation and security assurance processes
Skills and Abilities:
Technical Proficiency:
- RF fundamentals and signal propagation
- Tactical and enterprise communications systems
- Secure communications principles
- Network protocols and routing technologies
- Understands DDIL and its application in complex environments
Operational Resilience:
- Ability to operate in mission-critical environments
- Strong diagnostic capability under time pressure
Specific Experience Requirements:
- Degree in Communications, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering
- Experience within Defence communications environments
- Experience with secure or classified systems
- Active NV2 clearance (minimum)
