The Role

We are currently seeking Permanent Part Time and Casual Youth Workers who are:

• Available to work a variety of weekday and sleepover shifts, including on the weekends

• Able to work in Manly and across Northern Sydney region

This is an onsite position. As a Youth Worker in our Out of Home Care (OOHC) team, you will support young people living in our residential homes using a therapeutic, person-centred approach. You’ll engage in daily living activities, build trusting relationships, and help young people develop essential life skills – all while working as part of a supportive, values-driven team.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with young people to build independent living skills

• Support young people with daily routines such as cooking and cleaning

• Organise and participate in activities that promote growth and wellbeing

• Provide consistent, trauma-informed, person-centred care

• Collaborate with case managers and other professionals to support the young person’s care plan

• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions

Essential Requirements

• Flexibility to work across various locations in Manly and Northern Sydney Region

• Certificate III or higher in Youth Work, Community Services or related field

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Out of Home Care or Foster Care settings

• Experience working with young people impacted by trauma

• Strong de-escalation skills and understanding of therapeutic care approaches – TCI training would be an advantage

• Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

• Current Driver’s Licence
