Lead the team that helps keep Buloke’s road network safe, functional and reliable for the community.
Buloke Shire Council is seeking a motivated and practical Team Leader Road Services to coordinate daily operations across road maintenance and construction activities. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide your team, manage day-to-day works and take pride in maintaining essential infrastructure that supports our communities.
Your work will directly contribute to the safety, accessibility and connectivity of towns across the Shire.
In this role you will:
- Lead and support road maintenance crews, setting the standard for safety and service delivery
- Coordinate the planning and delivery of Council’s Road Preventative Maintenance Program, including grading and patrol activities
- Ensure timely inspections and responses across the local road network in line with Council’s Customer Request System and Road Management Plan
- Plan and allocate staff, plant and equipment to deliver efficient day-to-day operations
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, efficiency and service delivery
- Contribute to budget planning, including maintenance programs and capital improvement works
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have experience in civil construction, road maintenance or a similar field
- Bring proven leadership experience and the ability to support and motivate a team
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of road maintenance practices and Road Management Plans
- Be well organised and able to manage competing priorities
- Communicate clearly with staff, contractors and the community
- Hold a current Victorian Driver Licence (or state equivalent)
