About the Role

Buckland Aged Care Services is seeking a highly organised Rostering and Administration Support Officer to manage and coordinate staff rosters. Working closely with the Clinical Management Team, General Manager and HR, you will proactively manage roster adjustments, fill shift gaps, support workforce planning and assist with leave planning. This role also involves general administrative support and reception coverage as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily roster adjustments, including sick leave replacement vacancies
  • Coordinate staffing to ensure all shifts are appropriately covered
  • Ensure staff are meeting their contracted hours and that any work hour restrictions are adhered to
  • Update rosters for meetings, training, orientation and allowances
  • Manage and schedule the casual staff pool
  • Monitor staffing levels to support care minute requirement
  • Work closely with the Clinical Management Team, General Manager and HR to meet workforce needs

About You

Essential

  • Strong organisational, time management and communication skills
  • Be resilient, able to remain calm and professional while managing competing priorities and responding to unexpected roster changes
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Highly Regarded

  • Previous rostering experience in a healthcare or aged care environment
  • Experience using Employment Hero HR Information System for rostering, or similar software
  • Understanding of aged care staffing requirements and care minute obligations
