Maintenance Officer

Buckland is a well-established not-for-profit provider of aged care and retirement living services located in Springwood in the Lower Blue Mountains, NSW. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Officer to join our team on a full-time basis.

In this role, you will carry out general maintenance and repairs across our Retirement Village, helping to maintain a safe, well-presented and comfortable environment for our residents and visitors.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience in general building maintenance and groundskeeping • Be willing to undertake work across the retirement village and assist in the residential care facility if required • Deliver quality work within agreed timeframes • Work effectively as part of a team • Have good communication and interpersonal skills • Have sound computer skills for record keeping • Have knowledge of Work Health and Safety principles • Hold a NSW unrestricted driver’s licence • Have full Australian working rights

Duties include:

• Undertaking day-to-day maintenance and repairs across village homes, buildings and common areas • General upkeep of buildings, equipment and facilities • Completing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks and maintaining records • Ensuring work is completed safely and in line with organisational policies • Responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner • Assisting with coordinating contractors when required • Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and working collaboratively with the team
