About the Role:

We are seeking a collaborative and experienced leader to join us in a 0.4 EFT (2 days per week) job share arrangement, working in close partnership with an existing Manager to share leadership, decision-making and accountability for program outcomes.

Our Manager – Family Violence & Child Wellbeing Intake plays a critical leadership role within the The Orange Door, providing oversight to Team Leaders and Practice Leaders who support an integrated, multidisciplinary workforce. Operating within a matrixed management model, you will guide specialist practice streams, strengthen demand management and Hub workflows, and ensure high-quality, consistent service delivery aligned to the Integrated Practice Framework.

Working closely with the Hub Manager, Home Agency Managers and the Operational Leadership Group, you will contribute to strategic direction, drive cultural change and build capability across the service. Strong knowledge of family violence legislation and a deep understanding of the needs of children, young people, victim survivors and adults using family violence are essential.

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in complexity and is passionate about driving integrated, best-practice responses within the family violence and child wellbeing system

Do your skills include:

  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and managing practice with complex service delivery contexts, particularly multi-disciplinary and multi-agency approaches to the provision of services to vulnerable children, families and diverse communities is required. 
  • A strong knowledge and understanding of the drivers/causes of family violence and child and family vulnerability, as well as the child and family services and/or broader social services sector and their fundamental practices and theories is required. 
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the impact of trauma on women and children. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of clinical assessment, intervention & treatment offered to women & children who have/are experiencing family violence & to Adults Using Family Violence   

Are your credentials:

  • Professional clinical experience and relevant degree qualification(s) in social work, psychology or a related discipline, (Qualifications must be approved by recognised professional bodies: i.e AASW, ACWA, APS etc.) 
  • Formal training in professional supervision/reflective practice. 
  • A current Drivers Licence.
