This Full-Time position of Property and Tenancy Officer supports daily property and tenancy functions in collaboration with the Housing Services team for young people living in BYS community housing.
You’ll be a great candidate for this role if you have:
- A tertiary qualification in Business Studies, Community Services or Real Estate OR substantial demonstrated experience in a related role.
- The ability to Communicate tenancy processes to young tenants to help them understand and comply with their rights and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of Residential and Social Housing legislation, guidelines and standards and demonstrated ability to comply with this legislation.
- Familiarity in calculating rent using the Community Housing Rent Calculator, with strong numerical accuracy and confidence in performing related calculations.
- Experience coordinating contractors and suppliers to maintain properties in alignment with regular asset schedules.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders including young people, support services and suppliers.
Given the work that we do there will be a few non-negotiables. You’ll need to be able to have, or obtain prior to commencement:
- Working with Children Suitability Card [Blue Card].
- National Police Check clearance.
- Evidence of vaccination, immunity, or medical exemption for the following preventable diseases – Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella [Chicken Pox]; and Pertussis [Whooping Cough].
