Dog/Pet Groomer

About the Role We are looking for a caring and skilled Dog Groomer to join our friendly veterinary clinic team. This role involves providing high-quality grooming services to our wonderful client base of dogs, including many beautiful Spoodles, Cavoodles and other popular breeds that require regular grooming and coat care.

You will be responsible for delivering professional grooming services in a calm and compassionate environment, ensuring every dog feels comfortable and leaves looking and feeling their best.

We have recently purchased a new hydrobath to support our grooming services and are excited to continue growing this area of the clinic.

We are currently establishing and expanding our grooming service within our existing clinic, where we are completing the final phase of our current lease. In mid-2026 we will be moving into a new purpose-built veterinary facility, which will include a dedicated grooming room designed specifically to support and grow our grooming services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional dog grooming services, including clipping, scissoring, brushing, and coat styling

• Perform hydrobathing and drying of dogs

• Safely handle dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments

• Maintain a calm and positive experience for pets during grooming

• Monitor dogs for any skin issues, parasites, lumps, or concerns and communicate these with the veterinary team

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grooming area and equipment

• Ensure a high standard of animal welfare and hygiene at all times

About You

• Experience in professional dog grooming

• Confident performing breed clips and pet grooming styles

• Comfortable handling a variety of dogs and temperaments

• Gentle, patient, and compassionate when working with animals

• Good communication skills and ability to work within a veterinary team

• Reliable and takes pride in delivering high-quality grooming results

Hours

• Flexible working arrangements

• Grooming appointments can be scheduled across multiple days per week or on a single day, depending on the successful candidate’s availability
