🔩 Role Purpose
As an STF Trade Assist, you will play a key support role in our Surface Treatment Facility (STF) and production teams. You will assist with paint and blast preparation, material handling, maintenance support, and general production tasks to ensure projects stay on schedule with minimal rework.
This is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone who enjoys being busy, learning new skills, and working as part of a high-performing team.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
- Support Surface Treatment Operations: Assist with paint and blast preparation, coating processes, daily set-up and clean-up to maintain productivity and quality standards.
- Assist Maintenance & Equipment Operations: Support plant start-up procedures, preventative maintenance, and coordinate breakdown support to minimise downtime.
- Provide Production Support: Assist fabrication and production teams with material handling, surface preparation, machining, and other tasks as required to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain Safety & Quality Compliance: Follow WHS procedures, use PPE correctly, report hazards, maintain housekeeping standards, and ensure work meets company quality requirements.
