About the opportunity

As Australia’s newest uranium producer, we’re growing and looking for a Wellfield Technician to join our Wellfield Construction team at the Honeymoon mine site in South Australia.

Reporting to the Leading Hand, you’ll work with a small team to build new leaching wellfields.

We’re looking for people who enjoy outdoor, demanding physical work, have a strong work ethic and willing to learn new skills.

As a positive team player, you work cohesively with others and independently, managing your time to complete allocated tasks.

The role will be FIFO from the Adelaide charter terminal or Port Augusta airport direct to site. We will also consider DIDO from Broken Hill.

The initial roster will be 2:2, trialled until mid year, it may then revert an 8:6 roster.

In terms of specific responsibilities, you will:

  • Fit and connect poly pipework (33mm to 250mm) linking process plant to injection and extraction wells.
  • Complete mechanical tasks including pipe fitting and basic welding.
  • Complete required earthworks to facilitate construction activities.
  • Pull poly pipe and electrical cables.
  • Drop submersible extraction pumps into wells.
  • Complete additional technical duties as required.

About You

What you’ll need:

  • A valid Australian driver’s license, forklift license and ideally, a telehandler ticket.
  • Experience in a similar role in mining, heavy industry or agricultural environments.
  • Experience operating a range of machinery.
  • A proactive and solutions focused approach.
  • The ability to maintain concentration and quality output when completing repetitive tasks.
  • The willingness to work in a remote location, in extreme temperatures and flexible hours.
  • A strong focus on and commitment to, working safely.

While not essential, the following tickets/licenses will be highly regarded:

  • Poly welding
  • HIAB loader crane
  • Bobcat, backhoe or excavator

We will support you with training, upskilling and the attainment of relevant tickets as required.
