About the opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Process Operator to join our Production team at the Honeymoon mine site in South Australia.

Reporting to the Processing Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for operating and monitoring the mine’s wellfields and entire process plant, ensuring that it operates safely, efficiently, and within environmental regulations.

Working on a small site, you’ll need excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with your team and others, across the business. We work collaboratively and support each other to “get the job done,” safely and efficiently.

In terms of specific responsibilities, you will:

  • Operate and monitor wellfields and process plant facilities, including groundwater treatment, IX, precipitation, drying, and packing plants
  • Ensure plant operations are conducted safely and in compliance with environmental regulations
  • Maintain high standards of plant housekeeping and cleanliness
  • Safely unload and handle reagents in accordance with procedures
  • Monitor plant equipment and process parameters to identify and resolve issues promptly
  • Conduct routine inspections and plant checks, reporting faults to maintenance personnel
  • Record and report operational data, including production, equipment performance, and maintenance activities
  • Collect and log wellfield, plant, and final product samples
  • Follow standard operating procedures, including start‑up and shutdown processes, to ensure safe and efficient operations

About You

What you’ll need:

  • A valid Australian driver’s licence, with the ability to drive a manual vehicle.
  • Successfully complete pre-employment background checks including medical & national police clearance
  • Certificate III in Process Plant Operations or similar
  • Experience in plant process operations or a related field, preferably in the mining industry
  • Familiarity with process control systems and instrumentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Ability to work a rotating shift schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Willingness to comply with all safety and environmental regulations and policies
  • Ideal but not essential a Forklift Licence or Telehander ticket
  • Working at Heights & Confined Space Tickets also advantageous

The role is offered as an 8/6 FIFO position from Adelaide or Port Augusta, or DIDO Broken Hill, with meals and accommodation provided at the site camp.
