Description

Boody is on the hunt for a new Key Account Lead to join our incredible ANZ Wholesale team!

This role is responsible for managing Boody’s key retail partnerships, with an initial primary focus on the David Jones account, with the potential to grow to encompass additional Key Accounts as the successful candidate identifies opportunities to expand Boody’s presence in the ANZ market. You will be the key point of contact for retail partners, driving sales, merchandising, and operational excellence to deliver on Boody’s commercial objectives.

This is a Part Time position (approx 3 days per week), with scope to grow to a Full Time position as the Key Account function grows.

What is this role all about?

Account & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary contact for key retail partners in ANZ.
  • Manage relationships with key account stakeholders, including buyers, visual merchandisers, and operations teams.
  • Coordinate feedback loops between key accounts and our internal teams to ensure clear alignment on how Boody aims to show up and deliver in our retail partner stores.
  • Oversee in-store execution, including visual merchandising and store-in-store initiatives, regularly visiting our store network.
  • Liaise with Boody Brand & Marketing on product launches, promotional timing, and newness investments to align with ongoing key account communications and planning.

Sales Planning & Execution

  • Manage sales forecasts, seasonal phasing, and performance metrics for key accounts.
  • In close collaboration with Merchandise Planning, monitor weekly sales, update Boody WISSI, and provide guidance to our retail partners on future buys.
  • Build and deliver range presentations and linesheets in line with Boody’s order cadence.
  • Arrange product samples for presentations and ensure they align with key retail cycles.
  • Facilitate the buy process, including the guiding and receiving of Commitment to Buys, converting those into SKUs and creating the POs.
  • Identify and execute new retail opportunities and strategic account expansion across the ANZ market.

Operations

  • Manage EDI orders from key accounts, including reconciliation against CTBs and POs.
  • Coordinate with Boody’s Operations team on delivery windows, returns, and 3PL issues.
  • Provide retailers with tracking information and delivery notifications.
  • Identify, business case and execute opportunities to improve our Key Account operations, prioritising efficiencies and commercial outcomes.
  • Oversee price changes, promotional activity support, and budget allocation in collaboration with the Boody leadership stakeholders.
  • Support internal teams with retailer-specific requirements, including spare hangers, quality issues, and category updates.

We’re looking for:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in key account management within retail or consumer goods, ideally dealing with major department stores.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in wholesale sales forecasting, range planning, and order management.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Understanding of wholesale systems (e.g., EDI, NuOrder) and merchandising processes.
