Job Summary

As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you’ll lead and motivate our F&B team to ensure all venues run smoothly while delivering outstanding guest experiences. Leading by example, you’ll support daily operations, coordinate front and back of house teams, maintain service and safety standards, and assist with staff supervision.

Working across a variety of winter outlets—from a pub-style venue and cocktail bar to fine dining restaurants and café counter service—no two days are the same.

Essential Functions

  • Monitors and ensures compliance with all Guidelines to Operations.
  • Ensures all employees are in proper uniform and are properly groomed (grooming standards in employee handbook).
  • Ensures employees are working in a safe environment.
  • Assists in the response and resolution of all guest issues received directly from guests or from Guest Relations.
  • Manages employee hours to budget.
  • Works with the leadership team of the property to identify and implement action plans to prevent the reoccurrence of guest issues.
  • Monitors employee attendance and records absences/tardiness.
  • Must have a strong team leader approach which promotes teamwork and employee morale.
  • Keeps team members informed regarding new operational procedures, standards, or programs.
  • Ensures all employees have complete knowledge of emergency procedures.
  • Assists General Manager and upper management as requested.

NOTE: All Charlotte Pass Snow Resort employees are required to perform alternate functions from time to time, both within and outside of their assigned department, particularly during peak periods such as holiday weekends.

Qualifications

  • High School Certificate
  • Previous experience in a similar role with strong leadership skills.

Required Knowledge and Skill

  • Good leadership, problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Ability to communicate and delegate to others.
  • Extensive experi3ence working across all Hotel outlets such as Cocktail bar, Cafe and fine dining restaurant.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Enthusiasm to keep standards high
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Passion for hospitality and experiences
  • Able to work in a team whist leading a team with a hands on approach.
  • Knowledge of food safety issues
  • Ability to operate POS system
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in the hospitality industry, with an emphasis on food and beverages.
  • Culinary or food service management degree may be advantageous.
  • Strong working knowledge of related computer software, including restaurant management software.
  • Ability to adhere to budgets and meet financial targets.

Physical and Mental Demands

Requires prolonged periods of standing and walking, and lifting up to 25kgs. Stress can result from the often fast pace and the demands of guests.

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily indoors but may include limited outdoor tasks such as unloading deliveries and shoveling snow as required.
