Job Summary

The Food and Beverage Attendant is responsible for providing professional and efficient service across the resorts hotel’s restaurant, bars, and cafes. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, setting up and clearing tables, and ensuring guests receive a high standard of service at all times. The Attendant works closely with kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely delivery of orders, maintains cleanliness of service areas, and complies with all health, safety, and responsible service regulations. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential to delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Essential Functions

  • Greet guests and take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.

  • Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
  • Set up, clear, and maintain cleanliness of dining areas, tables, and service stations.
  • Good working knowledge of all menus as required.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and responsible service of alcohol regulations.
  • Handle guest inquiries and requests professionally, providing excellent customer service.
  • Collaborate with kitchen, bar, and other staff to ensure smooth service operations.
  • Monitor and report stock levels of food, beverages, and supplies to supervisors.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

NOTE: All Charlotte Pass Snow Resort employees are required to perform alternate functions from time to time, both within and outside of their assigned department, particularly during peak periods such as holiday weekends.

Customer Service Expectations

With extensive customer contact, must be helpful, friendly, courteous and professional in accordance with Charlotte Pass’ commitment to providing superior customer service.

Qualifications

  • High School Certificate
  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.

Required Knowledge and Skill

  • Good organisational skills and time management.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Enthusiasm to keep standards high.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Passion for hospitality and experiences.
  • Able to work in a team.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards.
  • Ability to operate POS system.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the hospitality industry, with an emphasis on food and beverages.

Physical and Mental Demands

Requires prolonged periods of standing and walking, and lifting up to 25kgs.

Work Environment

Most work is performed indoors, but some occasional outdoor work, such as sotck deliverys may be required.
