Running lunch trade in Chinese restaurant at Lucy Lodge Charlotte Pass Snow Resort
Job Summary
Lucy Lodge at Charlotte pass is looking for a qualified chef or talented cook to run a busy lunch service at Australia highest Chinese Restaurnant.
Prepare and order food ingredients.
- Run own kitchen
- Prep / order food ingredience.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free workspace to maximise efficiency while cooking meals.
- Maintain the functionality of kitchen equipment.
- Maintain an ., clean, and hazard-free workspace to maximise efficiency while cooking meals
- Adhere to food safety standards.
- Oversee the appearance of food displays and the quality of the food being served.
Other Functions
NOTE All Charlotte Pass Snow Resort employees are required to perform alternate functions from time to time, both within and outside of their assigned department, particularly during peak periods such as holiday weekends.
Customer Service Expectations
- With some customer contact, must be helpful, friendly, courteous and professional in accordance with Charlotte Pass’ commitment to providing superior customer service.
Qualifications
- Cooking Qualifications
- Proven experience in Chinese cuisine preparation and cooking techniques.
- Food safety supervisor certificate.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Must have prior experience cooking with commercial Wok burners and Asian cuisine.
- General organisational skills, menu design.
Physical and Mental Demands
- Requires prolonged periods of standing and walking and lifting up to 25kgs. Some bending and squatting to move food and supplies.
Work Environment
The position involves regular exposure to open flames and hot items, and the use of potentially hazardous sharp cutting utensils. Most work is performed indoors, but some occasional outdoor work, such as snow shoveling, may be required.
